This is Black's Automotive's custom built 2002 Saleen S-281 Extreme painted in Beryllium Clear coat This is car number 7 out of a total of 62 E's produced. There were 2 coupes built in Beryllium and the other one has been totaled, so this is the last E in this color! Stock Horsepower on this car was 425 and 450 torque. That all changed about 14 months ago when we removed the stock motor when the car had 6600 miles on it. The stock Saleen parts were all removed and upgraded by Lamotta Performance.

     Upgrades include Mahle pistons and rings (same pistons and rings that were used in the new Ford GT), Comp XE 262 Cams, Manhley connecting rods, ARP main studs, Custom Forged Crank, 60 lb an hour Motorsport injectors, SVT Focus fuel pump, SCT Big Air meter, Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, McLeod Twin Disk Clutch, and a 3 inch Blower Pulley (the stock pulley is a 4 inch). All parts were weighed and balanced. The stock Saleen intake was cut in half with a band saw and port matched with the heads, then put back together. The heads were also ported. All port work was done by Champion in Daytona Beach (Champion does great work!)

     The motor was built by Jake Lamotta and Jay Meagher of Lamotta Performance. It took three months to complete all the work and everything was finally done in December of 04. The car was then tuned at SCT in Longwood FL and a stock boost (10 lbs) made 440 rear wheel Horsepower. We retuned the car with the 3 inch pulley and a custom tune from Lamotta and at 18 lbs. of boost the car made 501 rear wheel horsepower and 500 ft lbs of torque at the tire! Needless to say the car is a blast to drive!

     The original window sticker on this car was $69,564.00 dollars. A few of the other custom features on this car are Michelin Pilot Sport tires in a W-style tread pattern (front are 275-35-R-18's and the rear tires are 315-30-R-18's). All stock audio equipment was removed including the stock amps and speakers. We installed all Alpine type X door and rear speakers, two J&L Audio 10 inch woofers in a custom box, and a Sony MEX-5DI CD player with XM Audio. All components were installed and serviced through Ultimate Audio (James JT Taylor).

     This car has always been Robbie and Brian Black's dream car, and with the help of all of our customers and friends, our dreams have come true with this Saleen E Series on Steroids!
